Qiaomu Clipper goes open source: one-click web clipping into Obsidian with built-in AI chat
vista8 · x · 2026-10-02
vista8 published the open-source repo for Qiaomu Clipper (joeseesun/qiaomu-clipper), a fork of the official Obsidian Web Clipper that keeps upstream Git history and the MIT license. It ships as a Chrome dev build loaded from source (about 2 minutes, not yet on the store). It unifies clipping, reading, editing and AI Q&A: a one-click clip button with optional sharing to the Qiaomu RSS reader, a clean reader mode with adjustable fonts and highlighting, a full-page editor with properties and Markdown side by side, and direct AI chat about clipped content—no copy-pasting elsewhere.
