Dynatrace buys Arize for $815M as CEO predicts humans will stop writing code

Dynatrace has acquired AI startup Arize for $815 million, and CEO Rick McConnell argues enterprise AI will require lots of old-fashioned engineering work—but much of it can be automated via a coding "loop" of iteration, automated fixes, and automatic evaluation, moving toward a world where humans stop writing code.
The deal expands Dynatrace's audience to developers writing code. Both McConnell and Arize founder Jason Lopatecki say the feedback loop of automated software fixing and iterating is taking shape, but the industry is still early—it remains to be seen how many "9s" of reliability such systems can reach.
