A self-identified Google DeepMind employee says they've tried the internally known model "Argon": they no longer reach for Anthropic's Opus for any work (even when 3.8 Flash was their top model), and hopes it becomes generally available soon. Another user, natanielruizg, confirmed the same experience. Unofficial, but points to a strong new model in testing at Google.
