Paper: Statistical correction turns imperfect LLM annotations into valid inference
krisgligoric · x · 2026-10-02
A new paper led by Cicely Zhu argues that accuracy of model annotations is not the same as inferential validity: even when LLM annotations of social media videos are imperfect, statistical correction can recover valid downstream inference.
The upshot: researchers can analyze social media video content at scale within its social context without sacrificing scientific rigor. The authors link the full paper for details.
