chongdashu · x · 2026-10-02
Developer chongdashu used Claude Sonnet 5.5 to turn a silly idea into a playable First Person Bouncer simulator, and published a 13-minute walkthrough of the entire pipeline:
- Cost breakdown: how much the game took to build
- Ideation: the opening prompt defining core mechanics, plus mockups generated with GPT Images 2.5
- Assets & characters: parallel asset generation; 3D character models, rigs and animations; learning ragdoll physics from AI
- Method: start with a gray box for core mechanics; when NOT to use sub-agents
- Level design, environments and props; where AI fails vs humans
- Polishing, release, and post-launch engagement/retention
A playable link is included, making it a practical tutorial on AI-assisted game development.
