Per China Daily, TCL has built an 'AI-native' air-conditioner factory in Guangzhou's Nansha industrial park: phase one cost nearly 2 billion yuan ($297M), with designed capacity of 8M units a year (4M expected in 2026) and an unmanned line rolling out one unit every 7 seconds. The park includes three lights-out factories, 15 labs, and an AI supercomputing center with 106 server cabinets that ingests data from 32,000 IoT sensors and runs 2,000+ AI agents in parallel, used heavily in inspection (e.g., infrared refrigerant-leak detection). TCL says it will export the model to new bases in Thailand and Pakistan.
