Google researcher defines slop: it's what you get when you skip the creative process

Google researcher Shlomi Fruchter offers a definition of slop: the creative artifacts humans truly value — classic books, films, paintings — are results of complex processes requiring many steps of reasoning and interaction with environments and other agents. The final artifact is meaningless without the context and creative proof-of-work that preceded it. Slop is what you get when generating the final result while skipping that process — and yes, he notes, human-generated slop definitely exists.
