Clone Robotics rebuilds its humanoid system; gear-free Torso 4 lands early November
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-02
Clone Robotics, the humanoid company with the closest Westworld vibe, has rebuilt its entire system. It demoed VR teleoperation of Torso 3's hand (open-close, point, pinch), with the founder saying the May-built hand is the last of their legacy designs. Six months of ground-up rework targets better simulatability and controllability without giving up near-human capability, landing as gear-free Torso 4 in the first week of November for fixed two-handed enterprise tasks. Its Protoclone prototype features a polymer skeleton mimicking 206 bones and 1,000+ Myofiber hydraulic artificial muscles.
