Scott Alexander answers cult accusations with a Pontius Pilate comeback
mjdramstead · x · 2026-10-02
mjdramstead teases Scott Alexander (slatestarcodex) for getting offended at being called part of a "weird sex cult" while responding in kind. In the quoted tweet, Scott sarcastically frames the accusations as echoing those against Jesus: a Jewish guy's apocalyptic cult, consorting with prostitutes, a message of compassion threatening family and nation — "Should we invite Pontius Pilate?" Classic AI-Twitter drama.
