ISMIR paper teaches a transformer to play in 12 jazz piano legends' styles

An upcoming ISMIR paper, Learning Jazz Pianist Style with Cross-Attention Conditioning, asks whether a transformer can learn to play in the style of twelve giants of jazz piano. Using cross-attention conditioning for style control, the authors demo the model continuing a single prompt in the styles of four different pianists, with clearly distinguishable results.
