Microsoft Copilot announced that OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol and Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5.5 start rolling out today, joining Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Sol added earlier this month, with Work IQ grounding responses in users' files, meetings, and chats under existing permissions. Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio get them first; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chat follow in phases over the coming week.
Based on the phased rollout, the poster speculates GPT-6.1 Sol will land in ChatGPT chat mode very soon.
