tom_doerr · x · 2026-10-02
The open-source VirtualMacOniPad project virtualizes full macOS on jailbroken iPads, letting iPad Pro (M1/M2) or iPad Air (M1) run pro apps like Xcode, Terminal, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro on device.
- Requires iPadOS 14 through 16.3.1 and a prior jailbreak (guides provided for both 14.x and 15–16.3.1)
- The community project calls it the realization of a decade-old dream, covered by media in multiple countries
- Open source, contributions welcome; not affiliated with Dopamine, UTM, VirtualBuddy, or Apple
