OpenRouter launches Security Center after finding 1,000+ dormant API keys across 85 employees
AccBalanced · x · 2026-10-02
OpenRouter launched the first gateway-level Security Center after auditing its own account and finding 1,000+ active API keys held by 85 employees, many unused for months. The feature audits all keys across workspaces, flags risky ones with reasons, shows which keys are safe to remove, supports an IP allowlist, and enables bulk disable/archive/cap of up to 500 keys at once.
