Peyman Milanfar, research scientist and former Giphy executive, argues that with few exceptions VCs have completely lost their ability to vet BS. While the baseline hit rate in venture was always low, he says the sheer amount of outright trash getting funded right now — in the middle of the AI boom — is staggering.
