Meta's Muse agent joins your Tailscale tailnet as a node, with existing access controls intact
AccBalanced · x · 2026-10-02
Tailscale announced an integration with Meta's personal AI agent Muse: Muse can join a tailnet as its own node, SSH into machines, inspect containers, and interact with self-hosted services, while existing Tailscale access controls still govern what it can reach.
The accompanying post details Muse's security architecture: the agent runs in a Linux VM, walled off from user data and external services by default, with safeguards against prompt injection and data exfiltration. It invokes the "lethal trifecta" framework—private data access, exposure to untrusted content, and external communication should not combine more than two at once—enforced via dozens of built-in connectors plus custom connectors built on third-party APIs.
