Photographer Jan Wegener captured a rare split-second view of the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater banking mid-flight, revealing its black-and-gold plumage. Fewer than 400 remain in the wild. Resharing it, moultano remarked the bird looks so surreal it resembles a psychedelic-art fake.
