Senator John Curtis (R-UT) cosponsored the bipartisan AI Whistleblower Protection Act, led by Chuck Grassley (R-IA). The bill protects AI company employees who report legal violations, security failures, or public safety risks from retaliation, including silencing via NDAs, building on existing DOL whistleblower frameworks without creating a new federal regulator. Curtis argued workers closest to AI systems are often first to spot problems.
