Claude Code plugin drops you into Doom deathmatch while waiting for your agent
jarrodwatts · x · 2026-10-02
Developer jarrodwatts open-sourced intermission, a Claude Code plugin that turns agent wait time into a game. When Claude has been working for 2 seconds, a pane opens beside your transcript and drops you into a shared Doom deathmatch server — every opponent is another person waiting on their Claude. When Claude finishes, a 3-second countdown hands control back; permission prompts instantly return you to the terminal. It's built on Odamex with Freedoom maps, monsters left in so the server is never empty. Install with /plugin install intermission --marketplace jarrodwatts/intermission, run /intermission (20MB first-time download), /intermission off to disable. Requires macOS 15+.
