I made Claude Code the CEO of my Chrome extension for a week — here's what happened

intensityflow · reddit · 2026-10-02

The author handed his free Chrome extension Stackboard to Claude Code as its "CEO" for a week. Setup: a scheduled task in the Claude desktop app fires nightly at 9pm, loading a markdown playbook the agent wrote and keeps editing. Playwright drives a Chrome profile signed into Reddit, X and the Chrome Web Store dashboard; each night it files a pinned Notion log. Nothing goes public until the author replies "go".

Week 1 results:

What didn't work: Google forces password re-entry every few days (the agent can't type passwords — a good thing), stalling a release for five days; its first Reddit post got one upvote; it suggested texting friends for first users and was refused.

Numbers: 4 weekly users, 14 installs in 30 days, 0 reviews, $0 spent.
