LeCun: Fine-tuned LLMs can answer physics questions but lack a 6-year-old's intuition

Responding to "where's my domestic robot and L5 self-driving car?", Yann LeCun argues that while you can fine-tune an LLM to answer any question about the physical world, that doesn't mean it has the understanding and physical intuition to predict what a 6-year-old can. The absence of working robots and full autonomy, in his view, reflects LLMs' lack of genuine world modeling.
