Zendaya's On partnership shows up in earnings: apparel up 47.7% as brand guides 20%+ growth

Zendaya's On deal is the rare celebrity partnership that lands in earnings: On raised its full-year margin forecast in May, with the co-CEO crediting her line for pulling younger women into the brand. Apparel sales grew 47.7% last quarter while Nike and Adidas fight over a flat market. The structure explains why: rather than paying her to wear product, On had her co-create the collection with Law Roach and backed it with a Spike Jonze film — effectively acquiring Hollywood's top image team for the cost of one partnership.
