Dev builds native Codex interface living in the MacBook notch, open-sourced on GitHub
vish1t · reddit · 2026-10-02
Developer v1shay used the Codex App Server to build kai, a native interface that lives in the MacBook notch, letting you voice-prompt your Codex agent without keeping the app or CLI open.
It supports projects, chats, file trees, artifacts, usage, status, approvals and direct prompting—all against your existing local Codex setup. The project is open-sourced at v1shay/kai.
