Dev stuck between Claude's superior visuals and ChatGPT's lax guardrails for game dev
Dogbold · reddit · 2026-10-02
A game developer compares Claude Opus 5.5 and ChatGPT 5.6 Sol for building a dragon-observation game. Opus is substantially better at visuals and animation, but refuses to implement dragon-experimentation mechanics (poisons, darts), calling harm to the dragon immoral no matter how it's framed — while ChatGPT does anything but produces much weaker visuals. Amusing reversal: ChatGPT refuses all NSFW game content while Claude happily mods a heavily NSFW game.
