Josh Albrecht shares that his system's earliest features included right-clicking anything to have an agent explain it, arguing collective understanding of these systems is critical. Andy Matuschak responds by wondering how far such mechanisms can be pushed: hypertext pioneers would call this an awfully neutered sort of understanding, but when is it good enough — and what new representations for explanations can we invent, given chatbot text is obviously not it?
