X ships editable captions in native video editor, with Grok-powered fixes and translation
Kyrannio · x · 2026-10-02
X has rolled out an updated native video editor with a cleaner interface and one of its most requested features: editable captions.
- Users can manually edit generated captions
- Ask Grok to correct them automatically
- Or tell Grok exactly how to change them, including translating into another language
The team notes captions are one of the simplest ways to keep viewers watching, especially with sound off, and more editor improvements are coming.
