Self-attesting ledgers proposed as fix for missing shared baselines across AI labs
pratyusha_PS · x · 2026-10-02
In a reposted thread, researcher houjunliu argues that AI progress is fast partly because of shared baselines—same harness, same metrics—enabling comparisons across architectures, optimizers, and schedules. Since not everyone can share one codebase, he proposes a self-attesting ledger as the next best thing to preserve cross-lab comparability.
