China Daily reports TCL has built a nearly 2 billion yuan ($297M) AI-native air-conditioner industrial park in Nansha, Guangzhou, with phase I designed for 8 million units annually and 4 million expected in 2026.
Highlights of the "lights-out" facility:
- Three fully flexible dark factories, 15 advanced labs and 10 intelligent production lines
- An AI supercomputing center with 106 server cabinets ingesting 32,000 IoT sensors, running 2,000+ AI agents in parallel
- Agents handle inspection, e.g. infrared sensors detect refrigerant leaks
GM Li Xin'an calls it a "truly AI-native factory" and says the model will be replicated at new bases in Thailand and Pakistan for global export.
