Google launches Guided Vision in Gemini Live for real-time camera descriptions
The Verge AI · rss · 2026-10-02
Google launched Guided Vision in Gemini Live on compatible Android devices. By sharing the camera, users get real-time audio descriptions of what they point at — reading fine print, describing surroundings, and identifying objects. Aimed at blind and low-vision users, it parallels Apple's VoiceOver Live Recognition on iPhone and Vision Pro.
