Stripe launches streaming payments, letting agents pay subcent per tool call
jeff_weinstein · x · 2026-10-02
Stripe now supports streaming payments via MPP Sessions: an agent authorizes a max amount up front, the server charges per unit of work in increments as small as 0.000001 USDC, and funds settle to the Stripe balance in whole cents when the session ends.
Use cases include per-token LLM inference, metered compute, and data analysis — enabling true pay-per-call subcent pricing for agent tool use.
