Pi coding agent hits 1.0, launches Pi Durable harness for long-running agents

Earendil and the Pi community shipped Pi 1.0, declaring the coding agent a solid foundation after extensive hardening. Alongside it, they released an experimental new package, Pi Durable, built for long-running, durable, malleable agents that can run anywhere.
Key points:
- Pi the coding agent stays terminal-driven and single-operator; that focus is unchanged.
- Pi Durable is a harness framework for building any agentic application: accessible from multiple surfaces, supports infinitely long conversations, survives catastrophic internal and external failures, and lets multiple humans steer the same agent.
- It shares code (pi-ai) and principles (minimalism, malleability) with Pi, but doesn't replace it; proven designs flow back into the coding agent.
- Their definition of a harness: storage plus the machinery to run one or more conversations with LLMs.
