Leipzig's LION Lab hires PhD student on protein language model interpretability

LION Lab at Leipzig University is hiring a fully funded PhD student (TV-L E13, 100%, 3 years) to adapt (mechanistic) interpretability methods from NLP/LLMs to protein language models, as part of a DFG project under the AI for Protein Function priority programme, co-supervised with Schoeder Lab. Apply by Oct 15, 2026; preferred start Jan 1, 2027.
