YC President Garry Tan Endorses Ari, an AI CFO Agent That Builds Finance Models From Your Actuals
garrytan · x · 2026-10-02
Y Combinator President Garry Tan recommends cfo.ai's finance agent Ari for companies trying to understand spend and ROI, noting its out-of-box integrations make setup nearly instant.
Ari acts as a "personal CFO": ask a question and it builds the model from real data — Stripe revenue, Salesforce pipeline, Rippling payroll. In the demo, asking whether the company can hire two AEs produces a 2027 scenario with Base/Downside/Upside cases: +$1.4M ending ARR, $591K Q4 operating income, and an 11-month payback.
A quoted customer, Jake Petoskey (CEO of fractional CFO firm Lighthouse Partners), says he was floored within an hour of setup and asked to jump on a call immediately.
