Developer manosaie shared first impressions of OpenAI dots: it feels rushed — impressive if released in August, but underwhelming now that expectations have risen.
Pros:
- ChatGPT voice mode is still the best voice experience among competitors;
- Voice mode combined with tool/browser/computer use opens up new ways to get things done without actively managing the AI.
He also praised demo presenter Holly as the "live demo queen".
