Tool says success, calendar disagrees: what should the agent tell the user?
Legitimate-Pride-685 · reddit · 2026-10-02
A member of the Rasen team raises a real agent-eval dilemma: the agent's booking tool returns 200, yet the calendar still shows the old slot — the write may be delayed, or it may never have happened. Neither "done" nor "failed" is safely correct. They ask the community what an agent should actually say to the user while it's still verifying, a concrete case at the boundary of agent reliability and eval design.
