Wan 2.2 14B I2V distorts faces during a kiss — what settings preserve identity?
Solid_Cause_4985 · reddit · 2026-10-02
A user animating a photo of himself and his wife with Wan 2.2 14B I2V in ComfyUI (rented RTX PRO 6000, 96GB VRAM) gets mouth artifacts and face distortion during a kiss; his face noticeably changes when he turns toward her.
Setup: FP8 high/low-noise models, 20 steps, CFG 3.5, Euler/simple, 832×480, 5s at 16FPS, LightX2V/turbo disabled, wan2.1vae. A simpler prompt improved results considerably. He asks whether this is an inherent I2V limitation with interacting faces or if settings/workflows can better preserve facial identity, and offers to share his workflow JSON and sample clip.
