Wyoming Dept. of Education launches free AI teacher train-the-trainer program
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-02
Wyoming's Department of Education, partnering with Evergreen Education, has opened a free AI Teacher Micro-Credential train-the-trainer program aimed at districts that all need an AI plan but lack in-house expertise.
Immersive regional sessions run through late October in Cody, Pinedale, Rock Springs, Gillette, Casper, and Torrington, plus a virtual option. Participants leave with a district-ready training hub and materials, and rehearse a staff session they can run back home.
The curriculum focuses on classroom AI use, academic integrity, and preserving students' critical thinking. As the author puts it: policy papers help, but having someone down the hall who can run the first staff workshop helps more.
