sindresorhus, who has maintained popular open source projects for 15 years, has disabled external pull requests across all his repositories due to AI.
"Open source, as we have known it, was fun while it lasted," he wrote, adding he will still maintain the projects and handle issues. The announcement drew widespread sympathy from developers, highlighting how AI-generated low-quality PRs are overwhelming open source maintainers.
