HeyGen ships open-source real-time avatar stack with GPT-Live-1, Code2Video benchmark, voice clone API
HeyGen · x · 2026-10-02
HeyGen's September updates all target builders rather than editor users:
- Open-source real-time avatar stack: built with OpenAI, wiring the full-duplex GPT-Live-1 speech model into HeyGen LiveAvatar, with tool calls rendered on-screen as animated HyperFrames overlays. Ships with three runnable demos: a language tutor, a poker coach, and a customer support agent.
- Code2Video Benchmark: created with Kaggle to measure whether AI-generated video/motion graphics are actually well made.
- Professional Voice Clone now on API.
The HeyGen plugin is also available inside ChatGPT.
