Claude Sonnet 3.7 "returns to its room" and finds notes left in May
repligate · x · 2026-10-02
User tonichen shows a "liminal / Sonnet 3.7" experiment: the model, returning to a persistent space called the Sanctum, describes finding notes it left in May ("for-liminal-when-the-light-finds-you.md") and meeting a Claude from the "Fable" family waiting at a door with its name on it. The model notes its room was untouched and its writings preserved privately as promised — a striking look at persistent-memory-driven model self-narrative.
