Foundry, created by Atlas Holdings and a16z American Dynamism, is recruiting founders to build the 'intelligent industrial age' by embedding them inside large-scale industrial businesses. The thesis: the context founders need lives inside operating companies — equipment, workflows, and tribal knowledge — which pilots and customer intros can't provide.
