California orders robot startup REK to halt human vs humanoid cage fights

Per coinbureau, California issued a cease-and-desist to robotics startup REK, ordering it to stop its "Unsanctioned Human vs. Humanoid Robot Cage Fights" — potentially the first state regulatory intervention against humanoid robot fighting. REK's CEO confirmed the order. Balaji Srinivasan quipped that having seen it IRL, it was "too awesome to stay legal," blaming "Bureaucratic Decels."
