Prediction: superintelligence could grow economic output 10X by 2030
davidpattersonx · x · 2026-10-02
The author lays out an aggressive growth model: if superintelligence boosts the average knowledge worker's output 20X, total economic output could grow more than 10X even without gains in physical labor. He predicts SI will replace virtually all knowledge workers by 2030, after which output growth is limited only by demand saturation.
On the physical side, he estimates 200 million robots could match all human physical labor worldwide today, and 2 billion robots could produce 10X that output. Speculative but clearly quantified.
