China's CXMT to nearly match Micron's DRAM capacity by end of 2026
Terminator857 · reddit · 2026-10-01
A Reddit post citing tweaktown and Citrini data says China's CXMT will finish 2026 with 350,000 wafer starts per month of DRAM capacity — just 25,000 short of Micron. By 2030 CXMT's total capacity is projected to reach 1.41 million WSPM, with new fabs in Beijing, Hefei and Shanghai adding 950,000 WSPM. The poster argues national strategic will beats corporate P&L logic and asks whether China is waiting for a RAM price crash to wipe out competitors.
