Agentic HIL: an open-source MCP server that lets coding agents flash firmware and test real hardware
wyced21 · reddit · 2026-10-01
Agentic HIL is an open-source MCP server that gives coding agents tools to flash firmware, reset targets, read UART output, and run hardware test plans, feeding results back so the agent can debug failures iteratively.
- Test plans are YAML files with explicit expected responses; plans, logs, and reports persist after sessions and are rerunnable from the CLI.
- Ships a Claude Code demo (passing and deliberately failing checks) and an STM32 Nucleo-F446RE starter with a planted firmware bug.
- Runs locally, Apache-2.0 licensed. Repo: github.com/agentic-hil/agentic-hil.
