Noam Brown recounts meeting @ssokota at a conference poster session five years ago, offering him an internship after being impressed, and now working with him at OpenAI. Sokota later revealed Brown was the only person who stopped by his poster all session. Elvis Saravia (dair-ai) added that young researchers increasingly lack platforms to showcase fresh ideas, and he tries to spotlight research but feels it's not enough.
