Full AI music video for ~$50 and one Claude session: SUNO v6 + Magnific + Claude workflow
imalegonzalez · reddit · 2026-10-01
A detailed end-to-end workflow for producing an AI song and its music video, with costs and tooling fully disclosed.
Music
- Reference songs were run through a music-analysis agent to extract structure, production, energy, arrangement and synth names, then synthesized into a base prompt for SUNO
- 3–4 iterations with SUNO v6 produced the track; lyrics were given only a theme and emotional direction
Music video (Claude + local tools)
- 20 Pinterest references defined a visual language called "Weak Signal": a near-monochrome nocturnal world where bodies dissolve into dithering, scanlines, ASCII and point clouds
- Magnific was wired in via MCP for generative image/video, plus motion graphics and JavaScript rendering repos
- After storyboard ping-pong with Claude, one send produced a full first cut in 4 hours, using 80% of a Claude Max session and $50 of Magnific credits
- Only 2 correction passes followed (replacing cliché scenes, better camera work and typography), consuming another 40% of the next session
The author calls this the new standard of slop and expects a flood of similar work. Full initial prompt included.
