Benchwarmer: open-source tool that catches and fixes misleading AI benchmark charts
aronchick · x · 2026-10-01
aronchick shared Benchwarmer, an open-source "benchmark chart rehabilitation" tool that fixes misleading vendor benchmark charts.
Paste a screenshot or table; it reads the values, ignores misleading source styling, and recomputes the winner for each benchmark row, showing the original beside a corrected, exportable comparison (SVG/HTML/audit JSON).
Principles: color never overrides arithmetic; higher/lower-is-better is judged per row; ties and missing data stay explicit; source, versions, and caveats are preserved. Useful for fact-checking model evaluation comparisons.
