AI video company Synthesia has launched Sessions, evolving its avatars from one-way presenters into real-time conversational counterparts.
- Roleplay Sessions: avatars play customers, managers, or angry users in back-and-forth practice conversations (sales calls, tough feedback, escalations, onboarding), with an AI coach delivering instant feedback after each attempt.
- Survey Sessions: run interviews and training at scale — the company touts interviewing 100 customers a day or training 1,000 sales reps simultaneously, with a manager dashboard tracking scores and skill breakdowns.
Positioned as "a video call, but the other side is an avatar that asks, listens, pushes back, and gathers insights." Free trial is now available.
