Light user burns through entire $200/month Codex plan in a few tasks
barney · reddit · 2026-10-01
A Reddit user reports that Codex's $200/month plan became drastically less usable: as a casual user doing web dev and SEO, they never came close to limits before, but a couple of recent tasks drove remaining usage to 0% and started burning credits they didn't know they had. They call it a bad sign when light users hit caps and say they're switching back to Claude.
