DeepSeek harness 0.2 ships desktop clients, permission-repair skill, and async question mode
WebAssemblyMan · reddit · 2026-10-01
DeepSeek's Agent harness 0.2 focuses on making the Agent Runtime production-ready:
- Optional Bundle architecture: Schedule reminders are now an explicit Optional Bundle — the first systematic use of the Profile + Bundle model, cleanly separating "installed" from "enabled".
- Windows Sandbox improvements: A new permission-diagnosis skill detects common Access Denied causes and performs backed-up, recoverable permission fixes after user authorization.
- Async Question Mode (experimental): "Ask the user" no longer blocks synchronously; the agent keeps working after timeout while the user replies later.
- Model layer: DeepSeek-account sessions get Web Search without an extra API key; fuzzy search and keyboard nav for long model lists.
- Desktop release: Official Windows and macOS clients (no Linux yet), with account login hinting paid plans may be coming.
